Frequently Asked Questions

What should I eat to lose weight based on my TDEE?
Subtract 500 calories from your TDEE for a ~1 lb/week loss rate. Subtract 250 for a gentler ~0.5 lb/week. Don't go below 1,200 calories (women) or 1,500 calories (men) without medical supervision.
Why does my TDEE change?
TDEE changes as your weight, age, and activity level change. Recheck every 4–6 weeks when actively dieting or changing exercise habits.
